Sack the net nanny, talk to your kids
I en intervju med Howard Rheingold får man läsa mycket klokt:
“There is a real fear that parents have that their kids are knowledgeable about the technology and they are not,” Rheingold says. “The answer has to do with trust and communication - talk to your kids about what they are doing online.”Han nämner också något som jag är inne på i min avhandling (bl a på s. 42):
He says advertising that stirs fear of online stalkers misleads: "Over 90 per cent of sexual abuse of children happens either within families or neighbours. In the other 10 per cent most of the strangers were not met over the internet. Yes, we should teach kids to be careful online, but we should not concentrate our education efforts solely on that."Hittat på Smartmobs. Har jag förresten berättat att jag ätit middag med Howard Rheingold?
